Equal and Opposite Reaction

Equal and Opposite Reaction

My loves,

Remember when I said last week was bad? Well, this week was a complete turnaround. I guess it proves that little physics motif, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Last week was the action: leaving my old chapter behind me in the hopes to start a new one. And this week was the reaction: God gave me hope. Let me explain…

Yesterday, I was printed in the local newspaper. I was accepted into my dream college. This blog finally hit fifty (!!!) followers.

This all happened in one day. Three life goals.

I just have to say that I am so thankful. Because for every time there is to be sad, there’s a time to be happy: “A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” -Ecclesiastes.

For all the tears there were in loss. Seeing my problems exploding before my eyes. There is light, and hope, and happiness. Think about how remarkable that is.

Sometimes, when you need a penny from heaven, you get one. There will be days when your life feels like a total mess, and days when you’re on top of the world. We get both, no matter what. And I finally feel like I understand how to appreciate that variety. Feeling sadness and feeling happiness. Knowing that it’s okay to feel both and everything in between. There is a time for every emotion and that’s why we have music, and art, and books, and intrigue.

Just remember, next time you have a bad day, that it is okay to have a bad day. Remember how many good days are ahead of you. Surprises that haven’t even happened yet.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for reading these little glimpses into my life. I hope that this blog makes you smile, because that is why I started it. To make people feel happiness, even on bad days.

Thank you for fifty followers!
