Happy Wednesday, my loves!
Over the last few days, I have come to realize that living a well-balanced life is critical in maintaining a positive mindset. Incorporating relaxation into a productive day can be challenging, but I’m beginning to learn that fun is just as important as work.
If you’re like me, you might have a list of tasks to check off every day, and by the time you’re done you have no time left for yourself. And if you’re a student, you know that balancing grades, sleep, and a social life is no easy feat.
Here is my advice-
Sometimes, you just need to say “Screw it,” and go out to enjoy yourself. There comes a time when you realize that there will never be a time when your list is completely empty. If you manage your time well, you should be able to go out a few nights a week and still have plenty of work done.
However, sometimes you need a night in. Sometimes, you’re exhausted, or you have a big exam to study for. That happens and that’s okay. But cutting yourself a break every once in a while is crucial. Otherwise, you might snap.
After a few days of working nonstop, you need a break to release some energy. Let your brain relax and experience something different. Locking yourself in a room with your textbooks does more harm than good, I have come to realize.
I promise, if you allow yourself some time to do what you actually enjoy a few times throughout the week, you will be in a much better mood. It’s unbelievable what a difference it makes.
That being said, make sure you are planning time to actually get work done so that you can enjoy yourself when you take a break!
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. I know it is different from my usual structure, but this has been on my mind the last few days and I really wanted to share. 🙂
I love you guys! Have a spectacular rest of your week! <3
