2017 was an important year for me.
There were a lot of ups and downs.
I started off the year by playing Schumann’s Three Romances on oboe at contest.
In March, I was inducted into National Honor Society.
I was actually voted vice president.
Then I wound up being voted president of Key Club and a board member of Interact. I am thrilled that I was chosen to be a leader in activities that I am so passionate about.
2017 was the year that I launched my blog.
I traveled abroad for the first time.
Autumn of 2017 marked the beginning of my senior year in high school.
I was named Student of the Month in September.
In the fall of 2017, I went through a breakup.
Then, I was accepted into college.
I made some amazing new friends this year.
In December, my house was fumigated for mold.
Yesterday, I failed my first final.
In 2017, I learned to take no sh*t. I learned how to ask for what I want. I learned how to let go of things that no longer bring me joy.
In 2017, I learned the importance of quality people over quantity.
I would not be who I am today without you.
Here’s to 2018. I have a good feeling about this New Year.
I wish you all the best.
I love you guys. So. Much.
XO,
Grace
