Review: Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Review: Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Hello, lovelies!

Another day, another book review! I picked out Landline by Rainbow Rowell from my library and let me start off by saying…this book bummed me out. I loved Eleanor & Park, and Rainbow Rowell is a fantastic writer, but this book was downright depressing. It’s very readable and I finished it within two days, but this just isn’t what you read if you’re looking for an uplifting story.

In a nutshell, it’s about a workaholic named Georgie whose oversensitive husband Neal pitches a fit because she can’t come visit his mother in Omaha for Christmas. And while I found it to be an interesting take on working motherhood, this book just didn’t make it into my top favorites.

My honest opinion…if you’re looking to feel blue this Christmas, then by all means, read this book. But truthfully, there are better options out there.

I always try to be as honest as possible in my reviews, and although this one was on the negative side, I hope it was still helpful!

Thanks for reading; hopefully my next book is a winner!
