Happy Monday, everyone!
I’ve been thinking a lot about how I built my confidence and how others can do the same. Not everyone is an extrovert and outgoing, but I think that’s a separate issue. A lot of us have been afraid to do something we want because we’re afraid of being teased or judged. It can be very frustrating, especially because some people miss out on their true passion in life because of it. Everyone has a little bit of that fear to start out with, but I think one of the biggest challenges in life is overcoming that and doing what you want.
That giant hurdle is not caring what other people think.
In a world ruled by “likes” and retweets, we seek out validation from others all the time. But you can’t let that stop you from going after your biggest dream. No successful person got where they are by sitting around and hoping. They stopped being afraid of failure and judgment and went for it.
And that is how success is earned…by having some guts. Playing it safe is not always the best policy.
Every day, I try to remind myself of this. I try my best to do what makes me happy, and if other people don’t like that, that’s really none of my business anyway. It’s really just about having courage and being your own advocate.
So what are you waiting for?
