The secret to happiness, by me.
Regretting is human nature…
Lately, though, I’ve figured out that burdening yourself with problems holds you back in life. Constantly worrying, thinking about what you should have done differently in the past, well…that makes no impact on your future.
You can always change. There’s always a solution, it just might not always be the easiest option. But it’s there. You have to be creative and look for the ways to improve your life. If you don’t actively seek out happiness, it probably won’t come for you. You have to make it.
So how do I live without regrets? Well, I’ve always lived by the idea that everything happens for a reason. You have to find some humor in life and the universe and just realize that life is literally insane and sometimes it’s fun and other times it’s horrible. Once you make peace with that, you can always be at least a little bit content. Or at least hopeful.
Maybe that’s why people turn to religion, but I’ve found my own spirituality in just experiencing. Letting the Higher Power take the reigns and going with the flow. Following my heart. Which is why I changed my major. 😉
Interior Design, here I come! 🙂
So what do you guys think? Is letting go and “rolling with the punches” the way? Or is it more complicated than that?
Happy spring, I love you.
