June Favorites 2018

Hello friends!

I wanted to share some of my favorite things from June with you all (even though it’s a little late!) Here are all the things I loved!

Coconut oil: That’s right, I’m officially on the coconut oil bandwagon. (Sorry!) I use it to take my makeup off at night and I can tell you this: it’s already lasting longer than buying a pack of makeup wipes. It helps makeup (even mascara) glide right off and isn’t drying on your skin like other makeup removers. I’m not going to tell you a specific brand to get because it’s literally all the same and you can get it anywhere. Don’t get scammed into buying some designer coconut oil.

Candles from Five Below: I’m a sucker for a good cheap candle. I found a bunch of cute pillar candles there and there’s two reasons why they’re so great- they’re soy AND they smell good! Not to mention they’re cheap. You’re welcome!

Shungite: Somewhere along the way, I learned that this stone helps neutralize the waves emitted from cell phones. I put this stone on my phone at night while I sleep. While I don’t know for sure how much this helps, I like the idea of it! And it’s a black stone which makes it very protective.

Nature Love Aromatherapy Pillow Mist: While we’re on the topic of sleeping, I found this pillow mist at Marshall’s and it’s lavender and vanilla and what dreams are made of. I’d been looking for one of these for a while but didn’t want to pay $20 for a bougie one at the register of a boutique.

Shea Moisture Argan Oil: I’m using it again! My poor hair takes a lot of abuse from the sun and working out. This one makes it look so much shinier and healthier. Important info if you haven’t heard this already- focus it on your ends and not as much near your roots (or else it might be overkill and you’ll look like a greaseball!)

NARS Creamy Concealer: I’d been wanting to try this for a while, but couldn’t justify spending $30 on a concealer. So…I waited until I had a gift card. It works much better than my old one and doesn’t crease at all. If you’re looking to splurge on a concealer, please, please, please make it this one!

Maui Moisture Shea Butter Hair Mask: I’ve only used this once, but it smells terrific and my hair felt like I just stepped out of a shampoo commercial after I tried it. I just put it on about fifteen minutes before I shower and then I rinse it out. You can make these at home and there’s probably about two million recipes on Pinterest waiting for you.

Birkenstocks: One year ago, I bought a Madden Girl pair of sandals at Marshall’s and called them my Firkenstocks (Fake Birkenstocks.) I wore the crap out of them for a year and finally decided to get a real pair. I think I’ve worn them every day since I bought them and they’re probably my favorite shoes I’ve ever had. I have them in the vegan Arizona style in the color stone.

Drake’s new album: I don’t care if it’s trendy to make fun of Drake’s lyrics on Twitter. His new album, Scorpion, has some bops. And if you saw LeBron’s Instagram post paying homage to Drake, you’ll want to love it too.

Those are all my favorites! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you found some ideas for goodies you might want to try out.

Love you all!

xx
