If you’ve been following me, you probably know I went to New York City for the first time this past weekend.
Holy sh!t, what a place.
I loved it and it was not even comparable to anywhere I have been before. Everything moves so quickly and your ears are ringing all the time because there’s so much noise.
I had the full experience, you guys. I saw a giant rat in Central Park. A woman shoved me in a coffee shop. We got attacked by pigeons! And had to squeeze into the subway, literally packed in like sardines. It was awesome. And I’m not being sarcastic. I wanted those things to happen because I wanted to truly experience New York.
Aside from the rats, though. I experienced Milk Bar and Shake Shack for the first time (oh my god). I got to see the skyline at night. We walked and sang through Central Park. And I went shopping on Fifth Avenue (and accidentally locked my phone in the bathroom on Fifth Avenue). I saw a violinist at Carnegie! The trip was amazing, the city was amazing, and the awesome people I got to travel with were you guessed it, amazing. It was one of the best trips I have ever taken and something I never thought I would be able to do. And by the way…the rumors are false. You can definitely do a NY trip on a small budget. Just saying.
Here are some photos of my awesome time:
So, so thankful for this experience!
Have you ever been to New York? If so, what did you think?
Thanks for reading.
