“If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.”
When we are young, we are the most original we will ever be. When you were a child, you discovered what you enjoyed, and you were not ashamed of it. If you loved art, or sports, you kept those hobbies, before you grew up and had to find something “practical.”
You might think going to medical school is practical- but, if you don’t really, really want to be a doctor, you might be less successful because you wish you were doing something else.
Yes, it is important to be successful. Yes, it is important to be financially secure. But there are so many ways to have both of those things and your happiness if you pursue your dreams and add in a lot of hard work and perseverance.
You don’t want to find yourself wishing one day that you had chosen a different degree, career path, or occupation. If you know what you love, follow it, and if you don’t know yet, keep looking. Everyone has something they’re good at.
Have the courage to choose what you really love. It takes guts, but you are stronger than you think you are.
