Happy Friday! (And first official day of autumn!)
To celebrate the new season, I decided to post a latte recipe. Disclaimer: I totally made this recipe up on my own, so go easy on me!
Here is how you can make a healthier version of a chai latte!
Milk or milk substitute
Chai (You can use real tea or tea concentrate)
Vanilla protein powder
Cinnamon (for garnish)
Pour about 1-1/2 cups of milk into a mug.
Stir in about 1/2 cup of chai concentrate or one tea bag’s worth of chai tea. If you prefer a stronger chai taste, you can add more.
Stir in one scoop of protein powder (about two heaping tablespoons). Note: My particular brand left behind some clumps after I stirred it in. If this happens to you, I recommend just removing the clumps with a spoon after you heat the mixture.
Heat the mixture in the microwave for 1:30-2 minutes or boil on the stove until it is steaming.
Garnish with cinnamon and enjoy!
